With its outbuildings, the Domaine Les Poultières, the castle offers comfortable accommodation with a total sleeping capacity for 40 guests. The history of Château le Chereau
During the Wars of Religion (1562 - 1598) Chereau, which was then a large, slightly fortified farm, was at the heart of the Protestant plot. The Prince of Condé, rallied to the Protestant cause, had his court in Orleans. After the failure of the Conspiracy of Amboise, Chereau continued to be a discreet place of rallying and secret meetings. Henry IV put an end to this tragic period by signing the Edict of Nantes in 1598. Since then, extracts from the Napoleonic cadastre show a long succession of different owners, until the beginning of the 1980s, when the current owner undertook to renovate the chateau and gardens while expanding the property to its current size.

When you rent Château Le Chereau, you have the exclusivity of a luxurious 115 ha property in the middle of Sologne des Etangs! In addition, between Château Le Chereau and its outbuilding, Domaine Les Poultières, you will have 40 beds for your guests.
Swimming pool and tennis, trampoline and table tennis will keep young and old busy.
The large lawns around the castle and on the edge of the pond lend themselves well to the organization of both family and professional events: cocktail parties, birthdays, weddings, photo shoots or car rallies, seminars, work meetings or business lunches! You can launch a hot air balloon or land a helicopter there.
High-end stay for 40 guests
Château Le Chereau offers 9 comfortable double rooms, each with its own modern bathroom or shower room (walk-in shower). Its library and large adjoining lounges, richly decorated, will delight you. Its small, very intimate dining room will welcome you all around its large table, in front of a magnificent open fire. All the rooms have been decorated by an architect and the beds are all equipped with mattresses from the Simmons range. Everything is done to make your stay in our family castle as happy and comfortable as possible.
In the outbuildings opposite the chateau, the large 80 m2 "Billard" lounge allows you to play billiards "à la française" or play a good game of table football by the fireside. Opposite the "Billard" lounge, the large capacity party room (which can accommodate 63 people seated) offers you 100 m² of additional space. With its adjacent equipped kitchen, it becomes the dining room during events or when the gîtes are jointly rented with the château. It can be used for business meals, work meetings or business seminars. If the weather permits, it is even possible to consider having lunch on the lawn adjoining the party room. With its outbuildings, the Domaine Les Poultières, the whole offers a large capacity of 40 beds.

The rental of the chateau includes access to the billiard room as well as the swimming pool and tennis courts, the terraces, the gardens and the entire 115 ha estate outside the Domaine Les Poultières area. The Party Room will be used in conjunction with the rental of the entire property.
